Our short term foster care managers for kittens and cats and dogs including those managing foster to adopt program continue to get too many after hour and weekend calls for non urgent issues despite reviewing urgent call issues and protocol. This is putting too much stress on the managers. Our managers have work cell phones they give to clients for emergencies. We are considering an after hour call phone service to be a first person to sort through calls. I’d like to know how others manage this as so unneeded calls are keeping out managers from getting necessary downtime.
